Rock making factory exhibition stand

This all-action, self-promotional exhibition stand based on the idea of a rock making factory was designed and built in the manner of W. Heath Robinson. When a visitor started the machine up bags of ideas were conveyed into the melting pot from whence a molten pink blob was automatically hurled across the stand into the shaping device where a large pair of animated hands formed the material into recognisable sticks of seaside rock. These were bagged and taken away by our visitors, along with copies of our promotional material in the form of large vintage style seaside postcards. Every time this machine cycle was started up we drew crowds of 3 or 4 rows deep - much to the annoyance of jealous neighbouring stands.
