English Nature

We were recently commissioned to provide a limited edition of 150 concrete wall plaques for English Nature. This photograph shows just a detailed portion of the overall design. We first produced a master design in Perspex using laser technology, then formed a set of silicone moulds from the master. These were then used to cast the final products, six at a time, using a specialised fine glass re-inforced concrete. The fine detail on the master was very demanding in terms of avoiding air bubbles. Materials used: Perspex, silicone mould making material, glass re-inforced concrete. Overall size: 800mm x 500mm x 50mm.
